Are diet pills getting to the point that we won’t have problems with obesity anymore? As Science and research continues to develop so are diet pills. With new studies and concepts the diet pills of the future may be able to do far more than previously thought. Some day soon we may be able to simply take a pill and not have to worry about weight gain.

Currently diet pills have already increased their ability to reduce fat. New studies seem to continue to come out daily about new compounds that show certain effects on the body. Some of the top diet pill makers in the industry are using these new compounds and ingredients in their formula. Luckily for us these new formulas are well studied and tested before entering into the markets.

We may not quite be there yet but we are getting closer and closer to he day when a diet pill will completely eliminate unwanted fat. With the looks of things it will be just in the nick of time. As Americans continue to become more and more overweight a special diet pill could not come all too soon.

Currently there are a few diet pills on the market that seem to be doing quite well producing weight loss results for consumers. As these types of diet pills continue to produce more results obesity could be a thing of the past. The problem is will the health of people increase? A person that is skinny but still doesn’t eat healthy or exercise is still likely going to have problems. Hopefully people will realize this as diet pills continue to become more efficient.

Apidexin and Weight Loss

I have been asked repeatedly about this product and so I have decided to do a little research into Apidexin. Apdiexin is a product that uses three methods to increase weight loss. First it stimulates you metabolism and thermogenesis. This means it works as a stimulant so people on blood pressure medications should avoid this product. Apidexin packs a similar punch of stimulation at to drinking a red bull. Of all methods used to increase weight loss this is possibly the best because it produces increased calorie expenditure even at rest, but the side effects for some people may deter them.

Apidexin also blocks fat simillar to Alli by using a binder such as a patented form of fiber that has extra compounds added to it to help bind to fat and pass it through the intestines rather than being taken up and digested.

Apdiexin also uses appetite suppression to help people feel full and eat less. This is another very useful tool for weight loss. With all three of these methods working together you can see why Apidexin works so well.

Overall Thought

Overall Apidexin is a good product in my eyes. There are no serious side effects for users and it has been working well for a large percentage of people. You are definitely not getting ripped off with this product. Apidexin truly is an expensive product to make. With all of the patented ingredients found in it, it is a wonder that they make enough money off of sales to keep on running.

Weight Loss Patches

Ah, how we love a fad. Many an hour we spend watching those infomercials and visualizing how our lives could be better if we just had this or that product.

I’m sure you’ve seen the infomercials for weight loss patches. Or the spam when you open your email. You are momentarily dazzled by the avatar of the full-figured lady who miraculously disappears before your eyes into a svelte love Goddess. Yes, a weight loss patch may solve your problems. But so might a million dollars, or plastic surgery…or getting a life.

But why not , I hear you cry? After all, it’s hard work remembering to eat right, let alone pop weight loss pill thirty minutes before eating. Who can remember that? So the idea of slapping on a patch is quite liberating. Won’t it suppress our appetites and turn our body’s into fat burning super machines?

Probably not folks. I hate to burst your consumer bubble, but the ingredients in these little stick-ons just aren’t as ‘super’ as you’d hope. They’re more a ‘band aid’ for your problem, not a solution. And like band aids, you might feel better for a while, but once off, you’re still the same injured soul.

Most weight loss patches contain the same five ingredients. They may vary a little, and some may highlight Hoodia as your weight loss hero while others herald Bladderwrack as the ingredient that’s going to save your fat life.

Guarana: A stimulant likened to caffeine, it has mild fat burning (thermongenic) properties, is thought by some to be an antioxidant, and is a mild diuretic (makes you pee.)

Garcinia Cambogia (HCA-Hydroxycitric Acid)-Animal studies indicate this ingredient can block the conversion of starches and sugars into fat, and promotes thermogenesis (the body’s ability to burn fat.) NOTE: Beware purchasing any products containing this ingredient right now. The FDA has issued a warning against the popular Hydroxycut™, stating its ingredient Hyrdoxycitric Acid, or HCA, is a possible culprit for liver-related illness.

Fucus vesiculosus (aka bladderwrack or brown seaweed): Bladderwrack contains high concentrations of Iodine, which in turn produce thyroid hormones necessary for healthy thyroid performance. A low or sluggish thyroid can lead to low energy levels or weight problems. But you could be overweight for a number of reasons, one of them being consumption of processed junk food and a sedentary lifestyle, so this ingredient will not help if you do not have thyroid dysfunction. The makers of weight loss patches herald Bladderwrack as their star ingredient…but it may not be beneficial to you.

Hoodia-Most weight loss patches are Hoodia based. They market Hoodia like they marketed Ephedra in the day; use it and the fat and inches will melt away. A few things you should know about this plant, is first it’s now an endangered species and retailers are having a hard time finding it. Apparently there are more Hoodia products emerging than there are plants to supply it. Which leads to the question…what’s really in your weight loss product? Either tiny dosages, or possibly a ‘cheat’ form of Hoodia? Secondly, there is very little conclusive evidence that Hoodia works as an appetite suppressant or anything else for that matter.

Folks, these ingredients just aren’t that great. Google them for clinical studies. Some may have been tried and tested on either an animal or human panel, but results will probably be pretty inconclusive. And we’re sure you’re not getting anywhere near the correct doses to be of any effect, anyway.

Who knows, the weight loss patch of the future might be as effective as the birth control patch. Meanwhile, slap yourself out of the marketing daze you’re in, and go for a walk- and not to the gas station for a King Size Snickers bar and 32 oz Coke either.

You are sluggish, tired and reaching for a Mars Bar by 10 a.m. You’d go for a mid-day run with your co-worker, but you just can’t summon up the energy. You’re tired…and looking down at your muffin-top, realize you’re getting fatter (too many muffins and too little of everything else.)

It might be tempting to buy a pill to remedy your situation, but deep down you know that’s only a band aid, and won’t fix the entire problem. A high end diet pill can help you get started such as a pill like apidexin. Apidexin can be a great motivation booster that helps the pounds to really start coming off at first but to be really successfull you need to also work at the real problem. The real problem is you and how you’re treating yourself.

Never fear, you’ve got a sluggish metabolism. And just like your car, which you had to send into the shop last week for a well overdue lube and rotation, you too can be fixed. It may take some time, a few changes in your diet and a lot less muffins, but you’ll be amazed at how quickly your body will positively react to nice treatment.

Here’s some ways to make your metabolism purr…

1) Stop eating crap. I mean it! Come on now, was your great-great-grandfather getting by on Ho-Ho’s and Moon Pies? Was he a regular in line at the McDonald’s drive thru? Hell no! He was eating real food, like a real man. And he would tell you he walked six miles each way to his vegetable garden, and spent hours pulling up potatoes and carrots and picking beans, which he then let his wife cook for him. He was a meat and veggies man. Take all that hard-earned money you flush into vending machines and Lunchables, and direct your shopping cart at the produce section. Go on now, you can do it! Add in some low-sugar fruit (apples, oranges, pears, berries), whole grain bread, brown rice, lean meat, eggs and maybe some of that ‘fiber’ cereal (walk right on past the Cocoa Pops…go on…), and you’ve got yourself some fine eatin’.

2) Eat breakfast. Now breakfast does not constitute a McGriddle sandwich or a bite of leftover pizza you left on the counter last night. Have some of that fiber cereal with some strawberry and blueberries on top. Or scramble some eggs and eat with a piece of whole grain toast. Your metabolism will open a sleepy eye and register something new is going on. Get it fully awake by packing some healthy snacks (think of those fruits and veggies), to munch on throughout the day. STAY AWAY FROM THE VENDING MACHINE!

3) Drink lots and lots of water. Lay off coffee, soda drinks and anything loaded with sugar, whether real or artificial. If you can’t abide too much water, and herbal tea is for sissies, try a decaf coffee, or if you really have to, a diet, caffeine-free soda. Look, your body is confused by all the artificial stimulants and processed crap you’ve been feeding it for a couple of decades. Give it a break! Drink water.

4) Exercise daily. You don’t have to kill yourself. At first your low energy levels won’t allow for more than a half-hearted walk, but you’ll rediscover the merits of fresh air. You will be AMAZED at how quickly your body rises to any physical challenge you give it. And you don’t have to limit yourself to the boring treadmill. Play ball with your friends. Speed-walk the mall. Jump on a mini tramp in front of the television (ignore the Snickers commercial.) You can do it!

5) Sleep young Padawan, sleep. Sleep restores your body on a cellular level. Think about that. It’s pretty cosmic. You will awake each dawn with not only a new day, but a new body. Visualize the new you (sans muffin top) and embrace it with zeal! (Don’t forget your healthy breakfast on the way out.)

Do these five simple things and your engine will purr and you’ll be running on six (very sexy) cylinders. Not only will your metabolism run efficiently, but you’ll feel terrific and will be purchasing smaller pants very soon my friend. And did your coworker just wink at you?

In December of 1998, the pharmaceutical giant, SmithKline Beecham withdrew Fastin from the market because of side effects associated with this weight loss supplement. Today, it is back on the market, as it tries to help those who are obese lose weight. Phenylethylamine, or Phentermine, ‘was’ the main ingredient in Fastin. This chemical is a powerful stimulant that boosts metabolism, suppresses appetite and raises heart rate.

What do you mean by ‘Was’?

Fastin was discontinued but their name or trademark has been purchased by a new company and re-marketed as an over-the-counter mood enhancer and diet supplement. Pretty clever move with a twist of deception. The ‘new’ Fastin contains some pretty basic ingredients, but nothing that justifies the outrageous price that it is currently selling for. I guess some people think they are still getting a prescription drug.

What is Alli?

Alli is orlistat (Xenical), a prescription drug to treat obesity. I think Xenical is still available with a prescription but with Alli out there, there really is no need to get a prescription. Alli is meant to be used in conjunction with a low-calorie, low-fat diet and regular exercise. Emphasis on the low fat. If your diet has any fat what so ever, then the side effects could be a little messy. Here is what some consumers are saying about the side effects of Alli:

“This destroyed all my white underpants. Everything came out orange. A few times it even went through my pants, which I had to toss. I don’t see at all how this is effective. It doesn’t control hunger at all, so what’s the point unless you like public humiliation?? Just cut down on your fat intake and you’ll feel better anyway. It’s like a punishment to take this.”

“Don’t you think that the low-fat diet you are on is what is causing you to lose weight!?! Save yourself $50 and oily farts and stick to that diet and exercise….”

What are the concerns with Alli?

In 2009, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) received reports of serious liver injury in people using Alli and began a safety review. At this time, no definite association has been established between orlistat and the risk of liver injury. However, if you take Alli be sure to contact your doctor if you experience signs and symptoms, such as weakness or fatigue, fever, jaundice, or brown urine, which could indicate liver injury.

How does Alli work?

Alli promotes weight loss by decreasing absorption of fat by the intestines, which reduces the number of calories you absorb.

Lipase, an enzyme found in the digestive tract, helps break down dietary fat into smaller components, so it can be used or stored for energy. Alli works by disabling lipase, which prevents the enzyme from breaking down the fat while it’s in your digestive tract. The undigested fat continues through the intestines and is eliminated through bowel movements.

Alli is taken with fat-containing meals, up to three times a day. Because of how Alli works, it’s recommended that you eat no more than 15 grams of fat with each meal. Eating greater amounts of fat can cause unwanted effects, such as anal leakage.

Alli Side Effects

You may experience bowel changes when taking Alli. Ads and marketing materials refer to these changes as “treatment effects.” These side effects can include:

Gas with an oily anal discharge

Loose stools or diarrhea

More frequent bowel movements

Hard-to-control bowel movements

Alli Conclusion

There are better diet pills out there. Alli trains you to eat a low fat diet. If you eat a diet high in fat, you will be punished with “hard to control… gas and oily discharges”. Well, if you change your diet to a low fat diet, won’t you lose weight anyways? Why do you need to crap your pants?
